Bill Cosby Sexual Assault Allegations

Bill Cosby has recently come under fire. To date, sixteen women have claimed that comedian drugged and sexually assaulted them. The assaults allegedly occurred from 1965 - 2004. The allegations became public in 2005. Cosby has been defiant about answering the sexual assault allegations. On November 22, 2014, he told the newspaper Florida Today, "I know people are tired of me not saying anything, but a guy doesn't have to answer to innuendos."

People do not want to lie. Therefore, their statements are usually true. We can believe people are tired of Cosby not saying anything. We can believe he does not have to answer to innuendos. However, we only believe what people tell us. If a person does not tell us something, then we cannot believe it to be true. Since Cosby has not denied the allegations, we cannot believe they did not occur.

The number of accusers has now risen to 20 women. Cosby again broke silence and told freelance journalist Stacy Brown, "Let me say this. I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind." Cosby continues to neglect to specifically address any of the rape or sexual assault allegations.
